Last Monday I planted corn,carrots and silver beat. 1st I dug a hole a couple of inches deep. Then I  pore 1 seed and put in the hole. make shore you make 2 inches of space if you are making a row. Make shore you you label your row if you don't you could get them mixed up and you might think they are some weeds and you pull them out to early.
